NOTE: THIS FILM IS IN RUSSIAN WITH NO ENGLISH SUBTITLES OR DUBBING. Leave it to a country other than the USA to bring us the most accurate, believable celluloid adaption of the Mark Twain classic. Watch Tom (Fyodor Stukov), roughly nine years old, and his pal Huck (Vladislav Sukhachyov), approximately ten, trick peers into painting a fence, battle a murdering Indian, help Jim the slave, fall in love with Becky Thatcher (Mariya Mironova) and much, much more. Thoroughly enjoyable; recommended!
Warning (rated NR): adult themes; violence; brief/moderate nudity.
