Here's a charming movie about a nine year old city boy (Antoine Hubert) who is sent to stay with some of his mother's friends in the countryside while she awaits going into labor and giving birth. During the "vacation," our little hero befriends a precocious ten year old tomboy (Vanessa Guedj), forms close relationships with the constantly bickering couple caring for him and comes to address his dad's abandonment of his family. A quasi-autobiography for director Jean-Loup Hubert, who is Antoine's father. Recommended!
