Here it is, the original "street urchin" flick, Luis Bunuel's tale of young Pedro (Alfonso Mejia), roughly ten, and the trouble he manages to get himself into since he is not wanted at home. A couple subplots are to be found, but the central one involves Pedro witnessing a murder, the psychological game played between him and the teen (Roberto Cobo) who committed it. A nicely done classic by a master director! A sure influence on Freedom Is Paradise, Pixote, Salaam Bombay and Vito and The Others. Not to be missed by any serious film buff!
