A girl of about eleven (Tania Palaiologou) and her little brother (Michalis Zeke), roughly five, runaway from home to set off on a quest in an attempt to meet the father they have never known. As they make their way across Greece towards Germany, a variety of adults are met; some are helpful, others quite the opposite. A slow-moving but beautiful film which reminds one of Wings of Desire via its richly detailed and intelligent look at humanity, but here seen through the eyes of two children rather than angels and offering bleaker results. Highly recommended!
